It seems like it should be easier than it is. But then something will happen again to remind me that you aren't here. And it hurts like when we first found out.
I enjoy working on the tournament. I love helping the city kids and I love helping people who have to deal with what we dealt with. And it is my passion and it allows me to continue to mother to my second child-- when I was robbed of my ability to do so in 2007. So I go along fine until I remember why we are doing it.
I try not to dwell on it. Usually succeed which is great. But it is hard not to remember. Especially during lacrosse season. WE HAVE NO ONE TO WATCH PLAY LACROSSE THIS YEAR ...for the first year ever so it seems. Doug's done. And YOU, my love, should be playing. You should be taller. You should be zanier. You should be talking to us about school and girls and lacrosse and all of the craziness that we know you would be doing. And you aren't. And I hate it.
